The VPA Rip Claw is a purpose-built small game head designed for hunters and archers who want durability, versatility, and devastating performance for small game and stump shooting.
Precision CNC-machined from high carbon steel, the Rip Claw is heat treated to approximately 50 Rockwell hardness for excellent durability and long-lasting performance in the field.
The head features pointed penetrating edges designed to deliver strong impact on small game while helping prevent the head from burying deep into the ground or target, making arrows easier to retrieve during practice or stump shooting.
✔ Unique Over-Shaft Mounting Design
Unlike traditional screw-in heads, the Rip Claw is designed to slide over the arrow shaft, allowing for multiple mounting options and flexible weight configurations.
The Rip Claw itself weighs 100 grains and can be secured using the included 25 grain screw, or paired with a field point for additional weight.
This design allows hunters to easily configure the head to match their setup, with total weight options ranging from 125 grains up to 300 grains and beyond depending on the field point used.
✔ Built for Durability
The Rip Claw is finished with a durable Black Oxide coating that provides corrosion resistance and long-lasting protection in demanding conditions.
Like all VPA products, the Rip Claw is designed with a focus on strength, simplicity, and dependable performance.
✔ Designed to Fit Your Arrow
The Rip Claw is available in three options to match arrow outer diameters:
• .268 OD
• .306 OD
• .350 OD
For the best fit and performance, choose a Rip Claw that is no more than .01 smaller than your arrow’s outer diameter. This ensures a snug fit and maximum stability during use.
✔ Built for Small Game & Stump Shooting
Whether you're hunting squirrels and rabbits or spending the afternoon stump shooting in the woods, the VPA Rip Claw delivers reliable impact and versatile weight options to match nearly any arrow setup.
Precision machined in the USA and built for archers who demand dependable gear.
