As seen in Avatar: The Last Airbender, this Japanese Samurai Yumi Bow is inspired by the legendary warrior archers of feudal Japan.
Built in-house under our Grayvn Traditional Bow brand, this bow blends traditional Yumi design with durable modern craftsmanship—capturing the elegance, history, and performance of Japanese archery.
Inspired by the Samurai Tradition
The Yumi bow has a deep history in Japanese culture and was once the primary weapon of the samurai warrior. Rooted in Kyūdō and Kyūjutsu, the art of the bow became more than a weapon—it became discipline, skill, and tradition.
Traditionally, the Yumi is shot off the hand using a uni-grip design, just as shown in classic Japanese archery styles. For archers who prefer it, an arrow rest can also be added.
